Preparation Method

  • Soak together parboiled rice and toor dhal for three hours.
  • Grind it along with grated coconut, red chilli, green chilli and curry leaves to a thick batter.
  • Add salt.
  • Pound pepper corn and cumin seed.
  • Add it to the ground batter and mix well.
  • Heat a dosa pan.
  • Take a ladle of the batter and spread it in a circular motion.
  • Drizzle Idhayam sesame oil to the sides of the toor dosa.
  • Cook in a low flame till brown on both the sides.
  • Remove from fire and serve.
