Preparation Method

  • Cook sago in water till transparent.
  • To this add sugar and mix till the sugar dissolves.
  • Allow it to boil for two-three minutes.
  • Heat a tablespoon of ghee in a pan, fry cashew nuts and raisins.
  • Boil water and add the sago, sugar mixture.
  • When it comes to a payasam consistency garnish with the roasted cashew and raisins.
  • Serve hot.
