Preparation Method

  • Soak the rice. Drain it completely and pound it.
  • Dry roast the urad dhal and pound it.
  • Mix together the rice flour and the urad dhal powder along with salt, asafoetida,sesame
  • seed and butter.
  • Add required amount of water and knead to a smooth dough.
  • In a heavy bottomed pan heat Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Use a murukku mould.
  • Fill the dough and press in a circular motion over the hot oil.
  • Deep fry till crisp.
  • Store in an air tight container.
